Meaning of Song:

Why This Kolaveri Di
, a Tamil song from the film Moonu is not only blaring all across the country but also the globe.

Youngsters are vigourously tweeting about this for the past three days, ever since it released. It is a trending topic on Twitter in India, America and UK. Bloggers are posting about their love for this song on public blogs.

“The song is about an average guy who is disappointed after being rejected by a girl. It is a song that anybody in a relationship can relate to,” says Sreekanth Dass from Jack In The Box.

Kolaveri Di literally means this murderous rage. The boy is asking the girl what he has done wrong and why she is being so murderously angry towards him.

“Other than the tune of the song being peppy and catchy, the lyrics are very addictive. It has been on repeat at office for three days,” Swetha Ajit, a copy writer.

The fact that it has had one- and-a-half million hits on youtube in three days proves that it is a massive rage.

Suhasini Samson, assistant executive producer says, “I am so crazy about this song that it is my morning alarm now. I don’t even speak Tamil but actually understand this song.”

Shruthi Hassan and Dhanush star in this film. As the lyrics are simple, they are sung by Dhanush himself.

“I have always been in love with Dhanush and now with this song, more so because he is singing it,” says Amritha Chandrashekar, an information developer. This is a song that has been sung in broken English and Tamil.

This movie has many firsts. The film is directed by Aishwarya Dhanush who is directing for the first time. The music is scored by debutant music composer Anirudh Ravichander.

“We created this song in three minutes and recorded it in 20 minutes. While recording it, we never expected it to be such a rage across the globe. The multilingual flavour has worked for the song,” says Anirudh.

My interpretation:

From above we can say that a the composer or anybody associated with the songs would be lucky enough to make a such a song without putting any efforts. But there might be many failures which might be the reason of this so called "luck by chance". Sometimes in life something happens which changes everything. I had read some where that if you want to achieve something start with small steps and each and every small step will push you to the limits where neither you had thought. Every person has a special potential and in Chetan Bhagat's words it is called "Spark". And once this spark is ignited he/she would be doing wonders. Here we can take the example of Hritik Roshan's character of the Bollywood movie Lakshya where he was in dilemma about his career. But due to circumstances which were against him he finally got his path and he was rising above his limits. There are some bad patches in person's life which takes a toll of him/her. If he/she could survive all this moments and keep not much but only little faith than he/she would be called "Survivor", the well known theory of Evolution given by well known scientist :"Survivor of the fittest".

Contagious Effect

After liberalization of our economy in 1991 there are some contagious effect which India has to suffer due to economic mishaps in any part of the world. Before opening our gates we were in secure zone. Though after opening our economy there are mammoth of benefits. But what I am trying to say is because of others mistakes we have to suffer.

Due to euro-ozone crisis export industry is being suffered. we are loosing the revenues from exports, which would indirectly aftect the employment in India too. The government of India would also be loser in terms of Tax Revenues.

The following would give better idea of our major Indian companies having investments in Euro-zone:

Reasons of Celebrating Diwali

Till date I had a belief that we celebrate Diwali for the return of Lord Ram from exile. But today I came to know (from wallpost of Facebook) that there are reasons for celebrating the Diwali too:

1.Goddess Lakshmi’s Birthday: The Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi incarnated on the new moon day (amaavasyaa) of the Kartik month during the churning of the ocean (samudra-manthan), hence the association of Diwali with Lakshmi.

2. Vishnu Rescued Lakshmi: On this very day (Diwali day), Lord Vishnu in his fifth incarnation as Vaman-avtaara rescued Lakshmi from the prison of King Bali and this is another reason of worshipping Ma Larkshmi on Diwali.

3. Krishna Killed Narakaasur: On the day preceding Diwali, Lord Krishna killed the demon king Narakaasur and rescued 16,000 women from his captivity. The celebration of this freedom went on for two days including the Diwali day as a victory festival.

4. The Return of the Pandavas: According to the great epic ‘Mahabharata’, it was ‘Kartik Amavashya’ when the Pandavas appeared from their 12 years of banishment as a result of their defeat in the hands of the Kauravas at the game of dice (gambling). The subjects who loved the Pandavas celebrated the day by lighting the earthen lamps.

5. The Victory of Rama: According to the epic ‘Ramayana’, it was the new moon day of Kartik when Lord Ram, Ma Sita and Lakshman returned to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravana and conquering Lanka. The citizens of Ayodhya decorated the entire city with the earthen lamps and illuminated it like never before.

6. Coronation of Vikramaditya: One of the greatest Hindu King Vikramaditya was coroneted on the Diwali day, hence Diwali became a historical event as well.

7. Special Day for the Arya Samaj: It was the new moon day of Kartik (Diwali day) when Maharshi Dayananda, one of the greatest reformers of Hinduism and the founder of Arya Samaj attained his nirvana.

8. Special Day for the Jains: Mahavir Tirthankar, considered to be the founder of modern Jainism also attained his nirvana on Diwali day.

9. Special Day for the Sikhs: The third Sikh Guru Amar Das institutionalized Diwali as a Red-Letter Day when all Sikhs would gather to receive the Gurus blessings. In 1577, the foundation stone of the Golden Temple at Amritsar was laid on Diwali. In 1619, the sixth Sikh Guru Hargobind, who was held by the Mughal Emperor Jahengir, was released from the Gwalior fort along with 52 kings.

It was early morning here in India but when employees of some tech companies went to Google, looking for news around Steve Jobs, they faced an interesting problem – the corporate web filters blocked their searches. Here’s why:

The word ‘Jobs’ was blocked by the corporate firewall to stop employees from searching for jobs in other companies.

Ria Sharma says that, due to this keyword-based Internet filtering, employees of Mahindra Satyam, iGate, Cognizant and Genpact weren’t able to search Google or any of the other search engines for news related to Steve Jobs.

South Sudan

  • South Sudan's emergence as the world's newest nation and Africa's 54th nation lastweekend marks the end of the decades of bloody strife that has cost 2.5 million lives.
  • This new nation revenue would be coming from oil reserves. (98% revenue would be of oil reserves)
  • The US and EU have both already signed off on significant aid sums, India is not far behind, Indian Vice president Hamad Ansari attended the ceremonies in Juba(capital). India has given its expertise in development assistance and infrastructure building in Afghanistan.
  • Sudan have rich reserves of uranium and diamond - an economic partnership could benefit both sides greatly

Reach of Internet

During the Mumbai blast, when government machinery failed to aid the victims. There was a spreadsheet which started floating on Twitter including the phone no.s who were ready to provide services like car ride, plane tickets, Financial assistance, etc to victims. This social networking if used for proper and productive purpose than it could do wonders. I personally think people in India should express there feeling through this medium of communication.

PAN MANDATORY FOR JWELLERY PURCHASES

Recently, Income Tax Department searched a large number of private lockers and vaults in the city which resulted in unearthing of unaccounted or unexplained jewellery, gold, diamonds and cash in the lockers belonging to people whose whereabouts are not known ie, benami holdings. While this was going on, separately, Income tax department has made it mandatory for all high value buyers of jewellery to declare or mention their Income tax Permanent Account Number (PAN) to the dealer from whom such purchases are made.

Today, everyone knows the need and relevance of income tax permanent account number which is unique to any individual who may or may not be assessee. People inIndiashould now get ready to mandatorily flash PAN card, for any purchase of jewellery worth Rs. five lakh or more from July 1, 2011 a move that would help the tax department keep an eye on such high value transactions. Besides jewellery purchase of Rs. five lakh and above, furnishing of PAN would be mandatory for some other transactions also with effect from July1.

As per the amendments in the income tax rules, coming into effect from July 1, quoting PAN (Permanent Account Number) will be mandatory for any payment of Rs. 5 lakh or more for purchase of bullion or jewellery. High-value purchase of jewellery, among valuables, have often been feared to be a much favoured route for circulation of black money and quoting of PAN would help the tax authorities in tracking such transactions.
